Who am I? Why am I here?

Even having started a number of blogs by this point, I still am a bit perplexed about how to approach the first post. Is this a needless, pointless exercise? Has anyone, anywhere ever said anything relevant or profound in the first post of a new blog? I’m not sure….most of what I remember reading of others’ efforts consisted of self-conscious posts, much like this one.

So I guess I’ll just say hello, and let you know that I am a youngish, blue-collarish man living in Brooklyn who is interested in politics, propaganda and photography (amongst other things). This blog will be mainly be about these three things, with wide-ranging thoughts elsewhere, I expect.

I should also beg your patience as I learn about WordPress and PHP and whatnot. Currently, I find these things vexing a bit.
